Pigeon Hunt

Service Description

This is a full day pigeon hunt with one or more of our guides. These hunts are farm depredation hunts, and aimed to help protect local farmers and livestock. This hunt has no bag limit and will truly test your shooting abilities. Clients can expect to shoot up to a case of shells in a single day at birds crossing between feed lots or floating over the decoys. (Note: These hunts are conducted in very close quarters with livestock and employees therefore strict muzzle discipline must be adhered to at all times). For all types of hunting safety is paramount, and while pigeon hunts are no different there is a more relaxed way to do it. Hunters should expect to sit in cattle/feed lots in a lawn chair behind decoys watching the dog work. Birds tend to come in waves where you won't be able to keep your gun loaded, and then die off for 30-45 minutes before starting again. You can expect to see and have the opportunity to shoot anywhere from 20-300 birds in a single day. Hunts maybe as long or as short as the guide and client agree upon. Factors that may terminate your hunt early include but are not limited to: Bad weather, multiple safety violations (either group or individual), equipment failure that would prevent further hunting in a safe manner, and any other reasonable circumstance that your guide deems appropriate. Items you should bring: -Small game license -Shotgun -Ammunition (recommend at least one case) -Sunscreen -Bug Spray -Hat and sunglasses -Plenty of drinks -Lunch and/or snacks -Cool clothing (It most likely will be hot and very sunny out so dress accordingly) 15% military discount $65 youth hunter $50 non-hunter 72-hour cancelation policy, if for any reason you need to cancel your hunt please contact us to either reschedule or refund your deposit. Cancelations within 72 hours will not be refunded. Guide gratuity is not required but is greatly appreciated. Before your hunt all personal must complete liability wavier and either email it to the email address below or present it to your guide the morning of your hunt. Cancellation Policy

To cancel or reschedule your hunt please contact us at least 72 hours in advance. Cancelations within 72 hours of your scheduled hunt will not be refunded.
